Al-Ajurrumiyya, a classical Arabic Grammar Text Taught and Explained in English.

Learn a famous classical text in Arabic grammar taught by a traditional teacher right here in New York City. This text is an essential for lower intermediate to intermediate level students of Arabic.

The Ajurrumiyya explains what speech is, what the parts of speech are, and why and how the ends of words change in the Arabic language. This class will also introduce you to the different types of sentences; past, present and future verbs; irregular, plural and dual forms of nouns. In addition you'll learn Arabic prepositions and how they affect sentence structure. You'll also learn the signs of verbs, nouns and prepositions.

This course will enable you to start understanding basic Koran through a deeper understanding of the Arabic language. Taught in a slow, methodological way as it has been for centuries, the aim of this class is to give you the golden keys to understand Islam through its mother tongue - pure Arabic.

Teacher:
Kemal Cecunjanin is currently an Arabic teacher at the Jesus Son of Mary Masjid in Connecticut. Previously, he was a full time student of the Sacred Knowledge residing the Middle East, where he stayed for 10 years, studying in Syria, Jordan, and Yemen. Some of the teachers that impacted him most are Sheikh Qusay Abu Sid, Habib Umar, Habib Mashour, and others. He successfully covered the core curriculum in the Shafi’i madhab, as well as texts in Aqidah, Logic, and Arabic Grammar.
